Episode 31: When the Cost of Productivity is Too High

See this content in the original post

So many of us feel that we are time-poor. It’s an easy thing to feel when we have so many demands.

Yet, time really is our most valuable asset.

In order to utilize time wisely or “gain” back time, some choose to multitask. For others, like me, it works better to focus on one thing at a time and not allow any distraction.

This week on Our Stories Within, I’m inviting you into an experiment I’ve been conducting lately with my time and attention. I’ve taken a good look at what distractions I’ve been allowing, if any, and how this ultimate focus is actually costing me something quite precious. Who knew a light conversation with a friend would have such an impact on my life and how I look at my time? I hope you’ll join me this week and listen in on what has inspired a meaningful change in my life. Is your focus costing you anything? Let’s take a look!

I’m exploring:

  • Why we should be working to eliminate the word “just” from our vocabulary

  • Questions to ask yourself to examine what productivity is costing you

  • An update on life lately, where my brain is at, and my plea to you

  • Where I decided that task completion is a priority for me, and where it isn’t

  • Why I’m not “just” anything in life and neither are you

  • Weighing productivity against how you truly want to live your life

  • And much more!

Our Stories Within would love to hear from you!
